We are writing this with a real sadness in our hearts. Pat first met Joyce over seventy years ago when they worked together at Ansells Brewery. Pat was aged just fourteen and Joyce was aged twenty. At first Pat was a giggly schoolgirl and did not have so much in common with Joyce, who was older and far more sophisticated! However as they got a little older the age gap made no difference and they became the best of friends. They have remained so over the years and Joyce is Pat’s oldest, dearest, closest friend.
We shared many things in our lives. Joyce married Dennis and Pat married Bob. She had Stephen and Pat had Kerry and Mandi. They regularly kept in touch throughout the years and had numerous happy times when the children were small and then later as they were growing up. We all particularly remember Joyce’s kindness and the children loved going round to her house to visit, not least of all because of the sweets and small gifts they regularly received!
There were many lovely times also with the ‘Gang’ and over the years we joined in celebrating many happy occasions, where there was always lots of fun and laughter.
Joyce, Dennis, Pat and Bob all went on holiday to the West coast of America where everyone had a fabulous time and did not stop talking about it for months afterwards!
Joyce was a wonderful caring lady and everyone who met her loved her.
Life will not be the same without Joyce in it and we will miss her so much. We take comfort in the fact that she had a long happy life with her beloved Dennis and Stephen, filled with lots of love and laughter.
You live on in our hearts and we will always remember the wonderful memories of the times we all shared.
Rest In Peace Joyce.
With all our love from Pat, Bob, Kerry and Mandi xxx
